Did you know there is a great consumer show in Canada? – Marketplace
It’s Summer! Do you have any plans to go some where around the globe? Or stay a night or two in another city? I was doing a school research and accidentally found this great show called – The Dirt on hotels, and thought you really have to know this! If you are staying in a hotel, you really might want to pay attention to some of the “stuff”. Knowing the secrets behind how “clean” hotels actually are (They are not as clean as you think!) — If you watched the marketplace video, you will know how “clean” the chain hotels actually are. If the hotel is not clean, it could make you sick or even spoil your holiday. Watch the video and you will be shocked! The link to the show are right below the first picture.
What you should know in a hotel :
-Check the room when you arrive for dirt, mold or insects. If you find any, ask to change rooms.
-Remove the bedspread and don’t use it. Usually, it isn’t clean
-Give your light switches, door handles and TV remotes a little wipe before touching them! – Alcohol based cleaning products works best! (like alcohol wipes or gel)
-Place toiletries on a hand towel rather than directly on the bathroom counter
-Rinse drinking glasses thoroughly with hot water before using it. Paper cup is recommended. Don’t use the coffeemaker if it’s in the bathroom
-Put your suitcase on a luggage rack instead of the bed or carpet so bugs don’t hitch a ride back home
