Yesterday, March 14, is the designated date of national Pi Day. Why? It was 03/14, or 3-1-4, which are the three most significant digits of pi!
Pi is a common mathematical constant that is equal to the ratio between the circumference of a circle to its diameter. Chances are you’ve used this irrational number at least once in your mathematical ventures, and what better time is there to appreciate all that it’s done for you than now?
So go buy a pie in honour of pi, or even better, make one yourself. Organize a pi reciting contest! Calculate the surface area of a circle. Appreciate pi 🙂

Happy Belated Pi Day, everyone!
Thanks to Anna for the joke.
