The best of all camp games

As a summer camp leader, there are some must-be-played classical and exciting games.

1. Water balloon fight

Even though making water balloons is time consuming, the fun is totally worth the effort. Two teams on two sides each have a bucket full of water balloons and try to soak the opponent. Water balloons are very sensitive to outside contact. They are the safest “ball” to be hit with. On an extremely hot summer day, a water balloon fight is the best way to relieve the heat.

2. Splat

I always remember that funny moment you get hit by an imaginary pie because you forgot to duck down. This game keeps everyone concentrated in the game. Even if you are eliminated, it’s still worthwhile to watch the rest of the gameplay.

3. Revenge tag with a blend of the ultimate showdown

Revenge tag is a typical game when all the players are it and when one player gets tagged by another player, he/she is down until the person who tagged he/she is down. Ultimate showdown is an elimination game. When one player is tagged by another player on the knees, the tagged person is eliminated; theroretically, the last remaining person wins. The orginal revenge tag is a fast paced game. There are times when you don’t even know who tagged you. This revised version adds a fun twist to the game; instead of tagging some one else anywhere below the shoulders, the players have to tag someone else’s knees.
